Fall Pruning Workshops (Hands-on)




Learn how to prune common California native plants at the 'Garden of Dreams' native plant garden on campus.  All workshops include instruction, demonstrations and the opportunity to practice your pruning skills. 

  • Friday, Dec. 11 - 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 12 - 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 18 - 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes and bring gloves and pruners (if you have them).

All workshops meet at the 'Garden of Dreams' (just north of parking lot 7 - see http://nativeplantscsudh.blogspot.com/p/map.html)

Fall Native Plant Sale

 

When:     Friday 11/13  - noon - 4:30 p.m.

          Saturday 11/14 -   noon – 3:00 p.m.

 

Where: Biology Dept. Greenhouse                   (just south of NSM building)

 

What: CA native plants suitable for Western Los Angeles County, including water-wise trees, shrubs as well as plants for containers, rain gardens, vegetated swales and ponds (see below for list)

 

Prices: $1.00 - $8.00+ donations (good deal)

                Proceeds support native plant

propagation/restoration on         campus
